It’s Nice to Meet You

Mental health is essentially learning how your nervous system works and then building a life that is in alignment with who you are and what you need. Therapy is a collaborative process where we are figure this out together. Think of it like we're building a puzzle on the floor. You are the one who will touch all the pieces and ultimately put them together. You will decide which parts of the picture we focus on and in which order. My contribution: I am very good at building puzzles. Part of my style is to be direct in what I am thinking and feeling as we sort our your "puzzle."

I always balance my directness with compassion, curiosity and humor, as laugher can be just as healing as crying. I like to build a sense of openness and trust so we can always be honest with each other. You'll never feel uncomfortable telling me if I have something wrong. I will never hold back anything that might help you. Let's figure this out together.

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced relational trauma and are struggling to move forward. Are you an adult child of a dysfunctional family? Perhaps you never dealt with your parents divorce or survived emotional / physical abuse? Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is another area of my expertise. Whether it's pre-engagement counseling, pre-marital counseling, or for couples on the brink of divorce, I use the Gottman Method as the foundation of my approach. This therapy is based on years of research and provides a reliable, effective method for improving relationships. I also incorporate other modalities like Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) into my couples work. You can read more about the modalities I use with individuals and couples on my website.
